About the District
The Hobe-St. Lucie Conservancy District is a water control district codified by House Bill No. 1433 of Ch. 2005-339, in accordance with section 298.001, Florida Statutes.
The District is governed by a three-member Board of Supervisors elected by landowners within the District. All property owners within the District are subject to annual assessments to fund the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the improvements within the District.
The District utilizes the Martin County Tax Collector to collect these assessments each year. The annual assessments appear in the non-ad valorem section of the property tax bill. The fiscal year is October 1st – September 30th.
